ICANN has sent out an announcement teasing with the announcement they will announce a new CEO preceding the ICANN meeting in Prague next week.

Board Chairman Dr. Stephen Crocker is set to introduce ICANN's next President and Chief Executive Officer at a news conference on Friday, 22 June in Prague, Czech Republic, two days prior to ICANN's 44th public meeting in Prague.

          The announcement has been much anticipated since Rod Beckstrom, ICANN's current President and CEO disclosed last August that he would step down at the end of his contract which expires on 1 July.

         It has also been subject to much wonderment as the selection committee has seemingly not leaked a word and the normal rumours that sweep the industry have not taking place, which also indicates a selection process that has been well run.
