RU takes the 6th position in the global ranking of CCTLDs worldwide and makes .RU a leader in terms of growth rates among the biggest CCTLDs .The 3rd million .ru domain name was registered on the night of 24/25 September 2010 .This means that one million .RU domain names have been registered in two years.

Two years afo,on May 13,2010 , .RU got a little brother , IDN TLD .РФ. From then on the Internet in Russia started growing twice as fast: by approximately 1,000-1,500 new domain names daily in each domain zone.
